Supporting the arts and artists is especially poignant in these economic times. Many cultural institutions are facing major cutbacks due to the sting of the economic meltdown. Support comes in many forms. It is showing support in visiting galleries, museums, theatres and other cultural institutions or attending screenings at film organizations and viewing art works that support the work of emerging artists.
It is for this reason, that Lehane Environmental are delighted to yet again support the Cork Midsummer Festival which is running throughout Cork City from 21 – 30 June 2013. This dynamic, innovative Festival is recognised as one of Ireland’s top annual events. Not only is the Festival culturally significant but it also firmly establishes Cork as a major International Destination City.
Cork Midsummer Festival 2013 promises to be just as dynamic and engaging as previous years and will host an abundance of shows throughout the city of Cork… Enjoy world-class street entertainers, outdoor extravaganzas, international artists and home-grown talent. Initiated in 1997, the festival will continue its tradition of unusual things in unusual places for 2013 – with theatre, off site performances, contemporary and popular music, participatory projects, mass free events, a family programme, circus, dance, debate, ideas, visual and conceptual art.
We would like to wish all the Team at Cork Midsummer Festival every success with this Festival – why not check out a show during this fantastic event
