Winter is fast approaching and there is no better time than to ensure that your storm drainage system is at its optimum condition in order to prevent unnecessary flooding with resultant pedestrian and vehicle safety issues as well as potential loss of product and business.
Gully traps around your site should be cleaned at least twice per annum and the storm drain sewers should be cleaned at least once per annum. This gives you the best chance of avoiding blockages. If a gully does block, it would be localised and a fast clearance can be carried out.
However if you have not carried out maintenance on your site drainage, a potential blockage is likely to involve the cleaning of the entire drainage system which would mean slow relief to your flooding issue.
